How to use the Print Station for in-house fulfillment

The Print Station is the Pro Photo Systems desktop app that lets your studio fulfill orders in-house instead of routing everything to a lab. Works with any printer your OS already supports — no proprietary hardware. The app handles the queue, the layout rendering, and the per-order tracking.

  1. 1.Download and install Print Station

Print Station is a desktop application for Windows and macOS. From the Pro Photo Systems dashboard, click Production → Print Station → Download to get the installer for your operating system. The installer is signed and notarized; no security warnings on a standard Windows or Mac.

  2. 2.Sign in with your studio account

Launch the app and sign in with the same email/password you use for the Pro Photo Systems dashboard. The app authenticates against the studio account and pulls in the queue of orders routed to in-house fulfillment.

  3. 3.Configure your default printer and paper sizes

In Settings → Printers, select the printer you want to use as the default for each product type (sheet prints, 8x10s, Memory Mates, etc.). Print Station works with any printer that's already configured in your operating system — no proprietary drivers required.

  4. 4.Claim orders from the queue

The main screen is a kitchen-display style queue showing every order routed to in-house printing, sorted by deadline. Click an order to claim it (so other operators don't double-process the same order), then review the line items.

  5. 5.Preview each line item and print

For each line item, Print Station shows a preview rendered at the correct print resolution. Confirm the layout, paper size, and quantity, then click Print. The print job goes to your configured printer; the app tracks each line item's status.

  6. 6.Mark the order complete and route to fulfillment

When every line item is printed and trimmed/packaged, mark the order complete. The order moves to the Fulfillment lane — if ShipStation is connected, a shipping label generates automatically; otherwise, hand to your packing workflow.
